Meet Charlotte: The Person Who Keeps Your Mortgage Moving

Getting a mortgage offer is one thing. Getting from that offer to completion without the process grinding to a halt is another thing entirely and it's something a lot of people don't think about until they're in the middle of it, watching days tick by and wondering what's happening with their case.

That's exactly where Charlotte comes in.

Charlotte has recently joined Endurance Mortgages as our Case Progressor, and her role is one of the most important in the entire client journey. Once your mortgage is underway, she's the person making sure nothing slips, nothing stalls, and nothing gets missed.

What a Case Progressor Actually Does

Most people know what a mortgage adviser does. Fewer people understand what happens between the mortgage being agreed and the keys being handed over and the honest answer is that quite a lot can happen, not all of it straightforward.

Solicitors need chasing. Lenders need documents. Searches come back with queries. Surveys flag things. Insurers need confirming. Every one of those moving parts has the potential to slow things down if nobody is actively keeping an eye on them.

Charlotte is that person. She monitors the progress of every active case, liaises with solicitors, lenders, and all the other parties involved, and makes sure that when something needs doing, it gets done quickly, and without the client having to chase it themselves.

For most buyers, this is the part of the process that causes the most anxiety. You've had your offer accepted, your mortgage is agreed, and then it can feel like silence. Nothing seems to be happening. You don't know who to call or what to ask.

With Charlotte in the team, that changes. You have a dedicated point of contact who knows exactly where your case is at any given moment and can give you a straight answer.

How She Fits Into Your Journey

Charlotte works closely alongside our mortgage advisers to make sure the handover between advice and completion is seamless. Once your mortgage is in place, she picks up the case and takes responsibility for the progression side - chasing, checking, updating, and escalating anything that needs attention.

That means our advisers can focus on giving the best possible advice to every client, while Charlotte focuses on making sure the case actually crosses the finish line on time.

It's a combination that makes the whole process faster, smoother, and considerably less stressful for the people going through it.

We sat down with Charlotte to find out a little more about her and what she loves about her role.

Charlotte - Case Progressor

Question 1: Can you walk us through what a typical day looks like for you and what's the most satisfying part of the job when a case goes smoothly?

"A typical day is very busy, updating clients and talking to solicitors and lenders to make sure everything is on track. I love being able to call a client and tell them their mortgage has been offered by the lender!"

Question 2: A lot of buyers find the period between mortgage offer and completion the most stressful part of the process. What would you want people to know about how you work to change that experience?

"I will give the clients updates along the way, as soon as I know something, they will too! I also like to check in with clients during the process to see how they are feeling and if there’s anything I can do to ensure they stay stress-free."

Question 3: What's one thing about you outside of work that people might be surprised to know?

"I have a little dog who is a jack russell/chihauahua but despite stereotypes, he is not yappy!"

A Warm Welcome to the Team
