Two Years and Counting: Celebrating Danielle's Anniversary at Endurance Mortgages

Some people come into a business and fill a role. Others come in and make it their own. Danielle is very much the latter.
It has been over two years since Danielle joined Endurance Mortgages as our Protection Manager and it's fair to say that in that time, the way we look after our clients has genuinely changed for the better.
Where It All Began
Danielle joined us on 12th August 2024, bringing with her over a decade of experience as an Executive Assistant and a background in financial services as a Client Relations Manager. On paper, that combination looked strong. In practice, it's proved to be exactly what our clients needed.
Protection, the conversation about what happens to your home, your income, and your family if the unexpected strikes is one of the most important parts of what we do at Endurance Mortgages. It's also one of the easiest to overlook in the excitement of securing a mortgage. Danielle made sure that changed.
What Two Years Looks Like
In two years, Danielle has spoken to hundreds of clients. She has helped families understand what cover they need. She has sat with first-time buyers who had never thought about income protection and helped them leave with a plan that genuinely protects them. She has reviewed existing policies, spotted gaps, and quietly made sure that the people who trust Endurance Mortgages with their mortgage are also properly protected beyond it.
None of that happens with a tick-box approach. It happens because Danielle takes the time to understand each client properly, their income, their family situation, their worries, and their goals, and then finds the cover that actually fits.

What Makes Danielle Different
Protection can be a difficult conversation. Nobody wants to think about being seriously ill, losing their income, or not being there for their family. Danielle has a rare ability to make that conversation feel natural, honest, and worth having.
She doesn't push products. She asks questions, listens, and then she puts together something that makes sense for the person sitting in front of her.
That approach is something we're genuinely proud of at Endurance Mortgages and it's something Danielle has brought to every single client interaction over the past two years.
A Note From the Team
Danielle, thank you for two years of hard work, dedication, and genuine care for every client who has come through our door. The business is better for having you in it, and so are the people you've helped along the way. Here's to many more years ahead.
We sat down with Danielle to mark the occasion and hear a little about her journey so far.
Question 1: Looking back over the past two years, what's the moment or client conversation that has stayed with you most and why does it remind you of why the protection conversation matters so much?
Looking back over the past two years, I think the conversations that have stayed with me most are the ones where a client initially sees protection as just another expense, but by the end of the conversation understands what it could actually mean for them and their family.
There have been conversations where we’ve talked through what would happen if they became seriously ill, couldn’t work, or sadly passed away, and you can see the moment it becomes real for them. It’s not always an easy conversation to have, but it’s one of the most important ones.
What stays with me is knowing that we’re not just selling an insurance policy. We’re helping people protect their home, their income and the lifestyle they’ve worked so hard to build. It reminds me that the protection conversation matters because none of us know what is around the corner, but having the right cover in place can make an incredibly difficult situation that little bit easier for a family.
Question 2: How has your thinking about protection evolved since you joined Endurance Mortgages two years ago and what's the one thing you wish every client knew before they came to see you?
When I first joined Endurance Mortgages, I think I viewed protection more from the perspective of the product itself — understanding the different policies, benefits and providers and making sure I was recommending the right solution for the client.
Two years on, I see it much more from the client’s perspective. Protection isn’t really about the policy; it’s about what that policy allows someone to protect. It’s their mortgage, their income, their children, their partner and ultimately their family’s financial security.
The biggest thing I wish every client knew before they came to see me is that protection isn’t about expecting something bad to happen — it’s about being prepared if it does. Nobody thinks they’re going to be the person who needs to claim, but that’s exactly why having the conversation is so important. My job is to make that conversation simple, explain the options clearly and help clients put something in place that gives them confidence about their future.
